Rosy Red and the seven colours

HIHI. just wanted to share my changed fairytale story, cus i took lots of time and effort on it :) HAHAHAHAHAH.
Based on Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs-
Rosy Red And The Seven Colours

Our story is set in the year 1837. This enchanting tale is about a young princess, who lived a in a castle far away in the outskirts of London together with her father, her evil stepmother, and her two sisters by the name of Snow White and Shiny Gold. Why so? As the first sister had skin as fair as snow, and her second sister had hair of shining golden that curved down all the way to her waist. The youngest princess, who is our story’s leading lady, took on the name of Rosy Red. She wore a light pink fluffy dress with white frills to the ends, dainty pixie-like shoes and a brightly coloured hair band in the shade of crimson red. She had long brown flowing hair, deep blue eyes, and by now you could also guess that her cheeks were just as the colour of red roses, it was an angelic face and the entire city claimed that she had possessed alluring beauty.

Every day, Rosy Red would sing to the birds, take a stroll in her lovely garden and admire her rosy reflection into a mystical pond, which had water that sparkled like crystal. This mystical pond would say, “Dear Rosy Red has the rosiest cheeks of all,” and that was what usually made Rosy’s day. Other than that she would waltz down the nearby market in her usual light pink fluffy dress, wave to every villager in radiant smiles and would smell every blooming red rose by every flower stall. Not forgetting, she had a sapphire fairy wren bird that was called Sunny, and it was Rosy’s best friend in the world. You would guess that this little princess enjoyed life very very much. Though who could think, despite it all, Rosy Red was not contented with life. The princess still had one unfulfilled wish, which was to be married, not to any typical villager by the streets, but to a handsome prince.

“Why me, why me, all I want is happiness.” she would vent to Sunny, “My sisters are both married to young knights, Snow White has found Prince Charming and Shiny Gold is engaged to Prince Dashing. Even my stepmother, who is evil, was fortunate enough to be forgiven by my father after trying to kill Snow White in the deserted woods. When will it my turn?” Sunny tried to remind Rosy Red of her brilliant life, that she had everything a typical teenage girl wanted and to add on, she was a prestigious princess. Her father treasured her dearly and would buy her any accessory in any shopping complex. Her stepmother would not even dare to pull a strand of hair from her golden hair, unlike how she treated Snow White previously. Her two loving sisters would grant her the permission to choose any handbag or diamond necklace first. Sunny knew that all she needed was a little length of patience. There is only so much that one could desire from life, but Rosy Red was most anxious for a prince.

Till one day, as Rosy Red was combing her long and flowy brown hair by her bedroom mirror, she heard a slight knock on her window. She anticipated seeing the birds by the trees that were waiting for her to sing to them. To her bewilderment, what she saw in front of her was a small, grumpy looking creature with rough green skin that stood at the height of stool. “Oh my, what in the world are you?” the princess exclaimed. “My name is Green, and I am a dwarf,” the creature proclaimed in a joyous tone, “I am here to help you princess. You want a prince don’t you? Well come follow me into the forest, and I will be able to relief you from your wait!”

Rosy Red wondered if it was safe to follow the little creature. The thought of Snow White once being friends with dwarfs put her mind at ease; she decided to follow the dwarf into the forest. They struggled over the fallen tree, passed the sleeping cat, went through the candy house and climbed the steep hill to reach the dwarf’s humble abode. It was a vibrant village that was filled with brightly coloured lights and gingerbread houses, suited to the size of their inhabitants. Out came five other stumpy dwarfs, that were each of a different colour, - Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue and Indigo. With the exception of green and violet, they were in the colours of the rainbow. Introduced by Green, it appeared that their names were exactly as the colour of their skin. “What about Violet? You have a younger sister?” the princess questioned in curiosity. “No no no princess, Violet is our seventh brother!” the Red dwarf exclaimed, “Violet will help you, but you must first search for him in the deepest depths of the forest,” the red dwarf continued. The princess giggled, Violet was a name of a male? It was too hilarious. Rosy Red decided to search for the seventh dwarf anyway, she had a feeling that he could truly help her.

Thus Rosy Red began on her quest for happiness. Together with Sunny, she walked and trailed as far as her tiny feet could carry her. But the princess, who was unused to life out of her luxurious castle was exhausted in a while. Just as she caught her breath, she took her next step onto a pile of red leaves, and fell through the red leaves instantly, like quick sand. Then she heard noise from nearby, the six coloured-named dwarfs burst through the bushes, laughing in a harmony of sinister tones. For a moment Rosy Red assumed that they arrived to pull her out of the pit hole, but turns out that it was not so. “You fell for our trap young princess! Now, we shall prepare you to be wed to our seventh brother! You would make a splendid bride!” said the Green dwarf. It was a trick all along!

Rosy Red panicked, she did not want to be married to an ugly dwarf. Tears of sorrow trickled down her rosy cheeks. Rosy’s hair looked like they were whirled into a hair dryer, her dress became torn and tattered, her dainty shoes were rusty and the colour of her hair band faded the shade of rotten purple. It was a disaster. Rosy Red wanted to be home again. She wanted to sing to the birds, stroll in her garden and hear the mystical pond tell her that her cheeks were the rosiest of all.

Just then the quick-witted Sunny thought up a plan, Sunny could fly, he would fly out to the forest to search for help, and the princess could return home! Without delay, Sunny set off, and flew into a distance of unspeakable length.

A long hour went by and Sunny finally returned, flying by the side of a gallant young prince. He was on a horse in armour of shimmering silver and he looked as handsome as ever. As speedy as lightning, the prince fought off the ugly dwarfs and whisked Rosy Red away from the danger zone on his horse. Could this be the prince that she had been longing for?

They stopped by a mystical river, panting in exhaustion. Rosy Red peered into the prince’s eyes, she thought he was the most dashing prince ever, and was struck by his attractiveness. She wanted to prove to the prince that her cheeks were the rosiest of all. She formed a cup with both her hands and scooped the mystical river water into her palms. Just before the mystical water could tell her that her cheeks were the rosiest of all, the water started to seep out from her fingers and drip onto the prince, every drop that fell glowed in a violet colour and the prince transformed to the height of a stool. The prince was the seventh dwarf.

Rosy Red was tricked into being with Violet again! What a disappointment for the princess, just as things were starting to turn out better. “Hurry Rosy Red! RUN!” Sunny cried out. Rosy Red hesitated no longer, she bolted as fast as she could like a rabbit that was being hunted, she was not afraid of being tired; she wanted to be away from that hideous creature! Rosy Red wanted to go home! She scurried down the steep hill, went through the candy house, dashed past the sleeping cat and leaped over the fallen tree.

Rosy Red was finally home.

It was a well-learnt lesson. Rosy Red decided to be contented with what she had, she would not complain about not having a husband any further. She would patiently for her time to come, and would learn to cherish her father and her affectionate sisters. Our story ends here, Rosy Red would be contented with her home, her family and her rosy cheeks. A prince can wait.
